Configuring an auto-responder in Outlook
Follow this procedure to configure an auto-responder in Outlook.
Before you begin:
Access to Outlook.
Procedure:
- Open the mailbox that you want to set up the rule for, click on Tools -> Rules and Alerts
- Select New Rule, tick 'check messages when they arrive' and click on next, then click on next again to apply it to every message that arrives to that address.
- Put a tick next to 'have server reply using specific message'.
- Click on the underlined 'specific message' in the second box and add your message in here.
- Click on Next twice, enter a name for your rule and click on Finish.
